The Biggest Ever Laurie Gleeson Dinner 2016

Celebrate Men's Health Week and pay tribute to Victorian Water Industry stalwart Laurie Gleeson

Laurie was Managing Director of Goulburn Valley Water from 1980 to 2008. He was Past President and a member of the Executive Council of the IWA, a former Board member of WSAA and long time supporter of WIOA.

After his diagnosis with prostate cancer, Laurie worked tirelessly to lobby the Federal Government to include the life-extending cancer drug Zytiga on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. Laurie was posthumously awarded an Order of Australia for his work in 2015.

The idea for the Biggest Ever Dinner came from his water industry colleagues who wished to honour his memory and contribution to our community following his passing in January 2015.

All profits from this event, to be held during Men’s Health Week, will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

The event will be at the Medallion Club at Etihad Stadium on Thursday 23 June 2016. Now into its second year after an overwhelmingly successful 2015 dinner, it's a break with IWA tradition as the night will be held instead of the traditional June IWA conference dinner.

Partners, industry colleagues, friends and family are invited.
