The current therapies for advanced prostate cancer have many side effects, and the cancer often becomes resistant to these drugs. New and better drugs are therefore urgently needed to treat advanced prostate cancer. Australian researchers based at Griffith University in Queensland are working at the forefront of the drug discovery process. They are using a huge collection of natural products called Nature Bank to look for new compounds from which prostate cancer drugs can be derived.
