The Biggest Ever Blokes Lunches began as the brainchild of the late Chris McPherson AM, a former Victoria/Tasmania Board member of PCFA.
Since its inception in Shepparton in 2009, these lunches and BBQ’s have become one of Australia's largest community fundraiser initiatives for PCFA, gathering tens of thousands of attendees and raising several million dollars.
Though Biggest Ever Blokes Lunches are enjoyed for their light-hearted atmosphere, their core mission remains focused on raising awareness and funds for much needed PCFA support services, including in-hospital Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse positions in regional Victoria and our Prostate Cancer Specialist Telenursing services.
Chris McPherson, who passed away in 2015 at age 61, turned his personal battle with prostate cancer into a catalyst for community action, leaving a lasting legacy through these impactful events.
