Tom Tait passed away yesterday and we farewell a great friend and supporter of PCFA. Tom was part of the group of Lane Cove Rotarians who helped found PCFA almost twenty years ago. Tom's connection with Rotary extended back to Nowra Rotary Club, which he joined in 1949, where he served as District Governor D971 Far NSW South Coast 1978-79, and he remained a passionate Rotarian for 66 years.
Tom served as the first auditor of PCFA, in an honorary capacity. He also acted as honorary auditor for the Lane Cove Youth Orchestra and Rotary Club of Lane Cove, among others. He was awarded an Honorary Life Membership for his service to PCFA, which is awarded in recognition of exceptional contribution to the PCFA community over many years, and has only been given to thirteen others in the history of PCFA. Tom was also deservedly acknowledged for his work in the Lane Cove community, for which he was recognised as "Citizen of the Year" in 2011.
On behalf of PCFA we would like to extend our condolences to the Tait family.
