Chemotherapy resistance can be a major problem for prostate cancer patients, leading to treatment failure. The chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (aka Adriamycin, CAELYX) has been a good treatment for prostate cancer in the past, but unfortunately resistance to this drug is common. A newly published study by researchers at Deakin University in Geelong has described a way to overcome doxorubicin resistance by attaching this drug to a protein found in cow's milk.
