It’s now possible to get your whole genome sequenced. This is not the same genetic testing for individual genes. Genome sequencing can give information about all 20,000 genes that each human carries. Prostate cancer patients might be tempted to get their genome sequenced to provide more information about their own DNA and their tumour’s DNA. Is this a good idea?
