Surgeons use radioactivity to spot lymph nodes harbouring prostate cancer cells

After prostate surgery, some patients need more surgery to remove lymph nodes, if the cancer has spread. This surgery can be challenging, as it’s difficult to know exactly which lymph nodes contain the cancer cells. An exciting new surgical technique has been trialled that uses a radioactive marker to find the lymph nodes containing tumours.
