Medical research has not always been done well. There are numerous examples of unethical experiments performed last century. Some are famous and others less known. It may be surprisingly to hear that a large prostate cancer study is considered as one of these unethical experiments. This troubling experiment, performed from 1951 to 1966, serves as an important warning for today’s prostate cancer researchers and clinicians.
