This National Volunteer Week (May 18-24) we’re celebrating Australian men and women who support those impacted by prostate cancer.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Changing Communities, Changing Lives’, symbolising the difference that volunteers make through their everyday actions.
PCFA CEO, Professor Jeff Dunn AO, says volunteers are vital to our work.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organisation – raising awareness and funds towards our vision of a future free of prostate cancer.
“Without our Prostate Cancer Support Group Network, we simply would not be able to reach many thousands of men who have nowhere to turn when a prostate cancer diagnosis strikes.
“Volunteers play a vital role in providing support, sharing information, and offering advice to men and families.
“We are tremendously grateful for their dedication and loyalty to our work.”
If you know a volunteer worthy of recognition, nominate them to be featured in our Social Media Gallery.
Simply email a photo and brief description of their contribution to enquiries@pcfa.org.au.
