The Bayside-Kingston PCSG is one of the longest functioning support groups in Victoria, with over 22 years of providing support to men and their partners in the Bayside-Kingston area of Melbourne.
Originally operating out of the Beaumaris RSL, when the land was sold off the Group moved to the Mentone RSL and then held meetings virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the group is back to the Mentone RSL with 50 members and the books and a regular attendance of around 16-20 men at each meeting.
Across 2023 members of the group held several successful sausage sizzle fundraisers at the local Bunnings Cheltenham, and manned information stands for Men’s International Health Week, Veterans’ Health Week, and for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September.
Following a well-attended end of year lunch at the Ricketts’ Point café, the group are looking forward to more awareness opportunities throughout 2024.
