Michael Pascoe, currently navigating his own journey with prostate cancer, has once again taken to the road for a meaningful cause.
On September 7 and 8, Michael completed his second overnight bike ride to the Boorowa Hotel, raising funds for PCFA.
This annual ride is more than a personal challenge—it's Michael's way of giving back to the foundation that supports those affected by prostate cancer.
This year, his efforts were met with tremendous community support, as 50 people joined him in this charitable endeavour.
Beyond the physical ride, Michael has also contributed by selling custom-designed shirts and patches, with all proceeds going towards PCFA.
His dedication and the enthusiasm of his supporters have helped him raise over $8,000, a testament to the strength of the community and the importance of the cause.
For Michael, the ride is more than just raising funds; it's about transforming his personal journey into a positive force for others.
Reflecting on his experience, he shared: "I truly underestimated the challenges that come with this disease; however, I equally underestimated the importance of family and talking."
He found significant support in PCFA, noting: "Following a couple of phone discussions with PCFA nurses, my outlook improved.
“I do not know where I would be without them."
Michael's story underscores the vital role of community, conversation, and support in the fight against prostate cancer.
