New Year, new fundraiser! If you’re ready to hit the ground running and join the PCFA-Team in 2025, we’re here to help. Here are our top tips for creating a successful and engaging fundraiser.
If you have any questions or ideas, you can also reach out to Pausha at fundraising@pcfa.org.au
- Make a difference, your way: There's are lots of ways to fundraise from hosting a BBQ, shaving your hair or beard, organising a morning tea, or joining one of our existing campaigns. If you are looking for inspiration, check out what other A-Teamers are doing here.
- Share your ‘why’: When setting up your fundraising page, make sure you explain what you’re doing and your motivations for fundraising in your bio. This helps your supporters understand why the cause is so important!
- Share your link: Once you’ve signed up, it’s time to start building momentum. Start by sharing your Fundraising page link with friends and family. Email or text your fundraising link to your nearest and dearest to ask them for support.
- Post updates regularly: Share regular updates – this could be daily or weekly in the lead up to your event. Supporters love to see photo or video updates and hear about the progress you’re making. You can even thank donors and supporters along the way.
- Spread the word: PCFA can support your fundraiser by sharing your story with local media. Share your story and high resolution photos at fundraise@pcfa.org.au. We'd love to help you spread the word and get the community behind you.
- Partner with local businesses: A great way to engage your network is to offer prizes and incentives. You could add a raffle to your event or set up a small competition. Ask a local business to donate a prize to help keep your costs low.
- Thank your donors: When you get a donation, make sure to show your gratitude. Why not thank them on social media or send them a personal note of thanks. It makes a big difference!
