When you hear “Coolie Rocks,” you might wonder what it's all about. For the Tweed Heads Support Group, it means one of the region's biggest gatherings of hot rods and rockabilly dancing. Taking the opportunity to spread awareness about prostate cancer and their support group, in their local community, the group making sure their message roared as loud as the engines.
“So many people came to our stand, eager to talk about what to watch for, share their experiences with the disease, and learn how we can connect them with PCFA for more information,” said group leader Phil Jones. “I was also keen to let any locals know that we are here for them if they’d like to get in touch and reach out to attend a meeting. It sure was the perfect demographic and target audience that we need to speak too”
Thank you, Phil, for ensuring that men and their families know they can rely on your support locally and reach out to PCFA whenever they need on 1800 22 00 99 or by visiting https://www.prostate.org.au/nursing-support/.
