Formation 2005
Even with the best medical advice and direction, talking to others who have been down the same path can bring a great sense of relief and encouragement.
A policy of confidentiality encourages open and frank discussion on issues which can include first hand personal experiences of treatments and possible outcomes in areas that may otherwise be difficult to discuss. A robust sense of humour is useful!
Our group exists to provide opportunities for men with prostate cancer to meet for information, advice and mutual support.
Support Groups can provide information, education, support and counselling and help to regain a sense of control over your life.
We co-operate with local health professionals and invite guest speakers on a variety of related issues.
We are affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and draw information and support from it and the Victorian Cancer Council.
