Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, our nurses have been flooded with calls for advice and support from men with prostate cancer and their families.
Donate now and help launch our new Telenursing Service, bringing life-saving support to men around the country.
Today, 211,000 men in Australia are living with prostate cancer. Many have faced delays to treatment and feeling more anxious and vulnerable than ever before.
It’s been an extremely worrying time for men with prostate cancer and their families.
We have 54 Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses in 48 locations around Australia, but they can only reach 1 in 3 men with prostate cancer. Put simply, it’s not enough.
We need your help to raise $420,000 to launch our Prostate Cancer Telenursing Service.
Your tax-deductible donation will be used to employ 3 Specialist Nurses to provide support to men and their families around Australia.
Give a gift today to bring life-saving nursing care to men around the country.
Every dollar you give will be matched by a generous donor, doubling your impact.
With your help, this new service will provide:
- Vital emotional support for men with prostate cancer who are distressed, anxious, or depressed.
- Specialist nursing advice about diagnosis, clinical treatment options and managing the side effects of treatment.
- Expert support and advice for partners, families and the community.
As soon as we raise the necessary funds, we will recruit, train and equip 3 Specialist Nurses who will immediately begin providing this life-saving support to men and their families.
This service can be accessed by men around Australia, wherever they live. Importantly, we’ll be better able to reach men in regional and rural areas, who have a 24% higher risk of dying from prostate cancer than their city counterparts.
Please make your tax-deductible donation today and help launch this vital new service.
And remember, every dollar you give will be DOUBLED. Thank you for your kind support.
