Prostate cancers require the action of testosterone to grow. So it may seem counterintuitive to treat prostate cancer using testosterone, but a new trial doing this has promising early results. One patient with metastatic prostate cancer receiving this therapy has even seen a remission lasting at least 15 months. This week's research blog asks how this revolutionary new treatment works.
