Very interesting new data have been published about prostate cancer diagnosis rates and PSA testing in the US. The diagnoses of new cases in the US is decreasing, but the diagnoses of metastatic cases is increasing. These changes started at a similar time as a recommendation against PSA testing in 2012. Did a halt to PSA testing in the US lead to more metastatic cases? The answer, as always, is complicated.
