Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is delighted to welcome a new major partner to its prostate cancer community: The ATOM Community Engagement Fund (ACE Fund).
The ACE Fund receives 1.5% of the sale of Nogard Australia products to ATOM and a further 1.5% when a customer purchases Nogard products from ATOM – the home of the Industrial and Safety Walkthrough Warehouse. Funds raised through this initiative are then injected back into the community through deserving beneficiaries.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men, with approximately 20,000 new diagnoses each year. Mr Jason Johnson, CEO of ATOM and Trustee of the ACE Fund is pleased to announce their involvement as a major corporate partner to support the work of PCFA.
"As a primary beneficiary, we hope to assist PCFA’s efforts in finding a cure, promoting awareness and supporting men affected by prostate cancer and their families," Mr Johnson said.
Professor Jeff Dunn AO, CEO at Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia commended the initiative, saying "The funds raised by the ACE Fund will help us save lives and support men with prostate cancer. Every year 1.3 million men worldwide are diagnosed with prostate cancer."
"Alarmingly, Australia has one of the highest incidence rates internationally, with 1 in every 7 Australian men likely to be diagnosed during their lifetime. This campaign will help us achieve research breakthroughs and provide much-needed support to men affected by prostate cancer," Professor Dunn said.
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is the voice of 200,000 men living with prostate cancer. It promotes and funds world-leading research; offers support through groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses; and provides educational programs for the Australian community and health professionals.
To support this initiative, the community is invited to purchase products from any Nogard Australia brand at ATOM. These brands include PPE Select, Endurite, New Balance, Diadora, Dunlop, Duwell, King Tony, Vaughan, QCut, Morris and Saturn.
Nogard Australia also offer custom work gear for teams across the country, whether in the workshop or on site to "Join the Blue Crew". Such products include hi-vis work shirts, blue earplugs, safety glasses, gloves and more. The ACE Fund and Nogard Australia hope the awareness raised through the wearing and usage of the Nogard PCFA products will act as both a reminder and encouragement for Australian men to keep men's health issues on the agenda.
