It can be difficult for men in regional areas to find the support they need as well as stay in touch with their country cohort folk, but these gents from the Toowoomba Prostate Cancer Support Group are changing all of that.

They’ve been meeting, supporting and bringing the Toowoomba community together now for almost 10 years and are looking to build on their numbers with COVID well and truly behind them.

“COVID was a real stick in the mud for all the support groups around the country, especially those a few hours from the city,” said Group Leader Cyril Curgenven.

“The group is so important to the community up here and we sure want to see more men and their partners come to see us when they can so we can improve our membership, support for them and keep growing to help as many men in the region as possible.”

With over 140 active members, the Toowoomba PCSG is a source of support for men and women on the range.

If you would like to learn more about the Group and meet some members, they will be holding a display at Farmfest 2024 in Toowoomba from June 4 to 6, or you can visit their website: https://www.pcfa.org.au/support/find-a-support-group/toowoomba-pcsg/
